Robert Shegog - Class of 1976

October 8, 2019 by Jim Hughes (Register to contact)

Does anyone know anything about Robert Shegog who supposedly died aboard a Navy ship out at sea? The story goes like this;

No known details other than the fact that Robert Shegog died aboard a Navy ship at sea. The story goes that he jumped overboard on a dare from a fellow navy man. Then the other fellow jumped overboard as well. Neither one of their bodies was ever found.This was sometime during the 1970s or 1980s.

Popcorn Popper

September 17, 2019 by Jim Hughes (Register to contact)

I think that the year was 1972. The Momence High School Popcorn Popper had broken. My Area Career Teacher had determined that the motor had stopped working. The school ordered another motor. I was the one who uninstalled the old motor. I installed the new motor. But the popcorn popper never worked again. I was hearing here and there that the school bought a different type of popcorn popper. but some people did not like the taste of popcorn from the new popper. The Momence High School student body had voted to get the old popcorn popper fixed instead of getting a new fangled air popper.
